Become an Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Looking for an opportunity to help our community’s youngest children?
Consider participating in a pilot program led by 4C for Children that focuses on recruiting and training early childhood substitute teachers. As a substitute teacher, you will not only help ensure children get critical early education and care, you also get to choose when you work and where!
The pilot kicked off Jan. 1 and runs through the end of 2024. During that time, 4C for Children will offer paid training through the Child Care Staffing Solutions platform so you’ll be job ready on day one. The pilot program will first place substitute teachers in child care programs located in Butler, Clark, Greene and Shelby counties with additional counties added over the course of the year.
Benefits of being a substitute teacher include:
- Flexibility: Work as few as two days a week or up to 40 hours a week.
- Paid training and onboarding
- Reliable pay or extra income
